As far as the fiddle thing goes you rocked it once again~ As far as the classical stuff goes, I thought it was nice. You have a well rounded style which is pretty cool. Keep posting!

Let's not limit this site to beginners Dennis.

Thanks for the post jake.

You're doing great. As we spoke about before, you can add dynamics to make your stuff even more interesting as you did with the Swan.

Be sure to take the time to practice slowly and focus intensely on intonation to make it even better. I bet you notice things when you listen to your recording that you don't think about when performing right? The risk when you play well is that you stop focusing on small intonation problems which are far more important than people realize.

There are times with the swan that you may want to go forward, tempo wise, and then go back. I'd be happy to show you someday on Skype.

What are your ambitions for the future?

Once again, great post and playing. Keep it up!!!

So do you think the dynamics were okay with the swan, but maybe add even more to snowflake?

I do notice the little things when I listen to the recordings of me, but I really have a hard time noticing those same things while I'm actually playing.  But I'll work on it.

Yeah, I bed there are places for some tempo embellishes, but I played this piece very last minute for a recital and the piano player (who is actually my classical violin teacher) didn't want to try and make it too fancy because piano isn't her main instrument and she was struggling to just play it normal.

I'm not entirely sure if I have any big ambitions at this point... I'm pretty content with things just the way they are.  I want to teach someday, but other then that... who knows :)

Thanks Everyone!!!

What comes through most loud and clear is that you're having fun with the violin/fiddle...  I think that's the most important thing.  Of course your technique seems flawless to me.  How long have you been playing and did you have a 1:1 teacher for lessons?

Yes, I definitely have lots of fund. Thanks! I'm far from flawless, but that's my goal. I've been playing for around 7 years now and I've had 1:1 lessons the whole time from absolutely amazing teachers.
