I made this little video for you just for fun, because I got a good opportunity to do it.

Warning! This is not very enjoyable to listen to, please listen at your own risk! 😂😂

I admire all of you who can get this mini-sized instrument to sing! 😊👍🏻
It’s obvious that I have no future as a violinist. 😄😄

I’m going back to practice with my CELLO. 🎶 It’s so much easier. 😝

Ilona -

Sorry I didn't catch this yesterday - thought the forum would be fixed by now (not).😒

Okay, YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME! 💥 You just picked that up and started playing?

I think that was SUPER GREAT! 🤩 I'd look much worse if I tried the Cello!

You should play both! 🤗

I have to admit that I practiced a little before turning on the camera. 😉
Also note the tape on the fingerboard, it was great help!
The violin feels just a toy, it's so tiny. 😄 I have small hands but still feel like the strings are too close together. Really tricky to find the right places for your fingers. I'm wondering why violin bow is so long when the instrument is so little, can't understand... My cello bow is shorter than that!
Actually I haven't huge interest to learn to play the violin, the cello is the one and the only true-love for me, but sometimes it's fun to do things like this! 😊

Ilona

I messed with a cello a few years ago that my niece was playing at the time, since then she switched to the Viola, was fun just to try and play a song on it.

Mark

Master the Frog and you have mastered the bow.

Nice video Ilona, and even with a little practice beforehand it's still quite good for an almost-first-try ;)

I tried a cello a few times too, once the luthier made me try one of his, just for fun ; well I couldn't play anything on it, didn't understand the fingerings… I'll stick to my viola. I do like the sound of the cello, though.
