I mentioned I was putting this together on Andrew H's thread. It took me a week to edit together, but I think it's come out pretty well. There's a couple of gags in there to keep it light-hearted and to make it a bit different from most of the other virtual play videos that are popping up all over the place.
Bear in mind that we are open access and don't audition players. You can find out more about the Cobweb Orchestra here (plug-plug ) https://cobweborchestra.org.uk/ .
I didn't play flute or fiddle in this one, but I did play!

that was much fun to watch and great to hear Jim! is that you conducting? the whole thing was very well put together. I liked the audience clips and phone ringing (funny..nice touch!). very nice!
Thanks GregW. The conductor is Andy Jackson; he conducts the Wednesday afternoon group where (under normal circumstances) I play flute. The ringing phone gag was his idea. The clarinet soloist Tracy conducts the beginner's group where I play violin.
AndrewH Yes everybody had fun doing it, and they all joined in with the spirit of it. We premiered the video on youtube last night at 7:30 so everyone watched it together and there was a live chat which I hosted. People were even posting on FB about plans for pre-show drinks. lol
I have to say the editing was quite daunting with nearly 40 people submitting videos. However, I felt like a right wimp when Pierre did his, with 70 odd people in it!

Thanks @BillyG and @bocahollty .I also meant to post this video but forgot. It's the pilot quartet we did to prove the technology. I played flute on this even though it's a violin part as I'd probably never have managed it on violin even if I practised till the lockdown was over lol.
nice one Jim! Sounds great. do you stick to mainly classical or have you found yourself taking flute to trad sessions (irish/scottish)?

Thanks @ABitRusty . Mainly classical - I can't really play trad stuff on that flute, though I did play it on tin whistle for a while (never in public though!). In the orchestra I often play piccolo as there are too many players better than me that play 1st and 2nd is usually boring. On picc you get quite a lot of solos.
I have a load of music books with CD accompaniments and there's all sorts among those; classical, pop, film music etc. I have to have the music in front of me though, as I can't seem to memorise stuff on the flute, yet I find it happens automatically on the fiddle - very strange!
