Here is Gartan Mother's Lullaby. I like this piece:

Here is  Sí Beag, Sí Mór (Little Hill, Big Hill)

I am working on my bowing with these, and as always, intonation. They both have quite a bit of E string, which I need work on. I am getting stringer in the E. I also think I am getting just a tad more good tone than I know is in the violin.

I do not do vibrato on my violin. I know there are places that the vibrato would add to these, but right now, I am not getting in to vibrato.

I will be continuing with these two sings for a while.

@Mouse -

Sounds good - hope you play more ITM!

Btw, hadn't heard 'Gartan Mother's Lullaby' before - I love lullabies.

Thanks for sharing!

@ELCBK, Thanks. The Lullaby os from a book of traditional Irish fiddle music my daughter gave me last year. There are some nice tunes in it.

I love lullabies, too. I have another that I have been playing around with since I got my violin. The Brahms Lullaby. I love that and want to get it right.

No videos please, I am just doing it by ear. No tips or anything. I am just trying to figure it out in my own time. I know you want to. 😂😂😂 Helping is in your nature, 😁.
