its the hopper! Im sure he watched an OT fiddler do that, or an Aly Bain special where one of the chicks does that. Although he seems to have perfected the over the top, jump the shark, turretts spasm version. just sayin.

Actually, that guy is pretty good, albeit a bit unorthodox.  The guitarist is much too timid.  Thanks for the vid.  I enjoyed it.

Maybe he is just a busy guy and is trying to do his fiddling and aerobic exercise at the same time. 

I wonder whether the audience is also getting their exercise when he plays. 

Probably they are just sitting and watching like most people when Jack LaLanne was on TV. 

I was trying to guess whether he was going to slip off the edge of his chair and land on the floor.
