Fortunately music doesn't require subtitles.  I hope they subtitle the dialogue.

David Garrett is actually a great player but he chooses to play a lot of easy pop stuff rather than complicated virtuoso violin repertoire.

 

I think his choice is based on monetary gain currently and world acceptance by the "cross-over" group. His roots are heavily laden in classical and old school classical playing.

Very little of his performances in that old style are on youtube currently and most young people will easily recognize a violin played rendition of Michael Jacksons tunes rather than the 5th movement of some unknown and seldom played piece that required months of study to perfect.

 

But he can damn sure play that thang...cheers
