Does anyone know of any sites were they have a free copy of ein kleine nachtmusik. Thought fiddlerman may have but I cant see it in his list. It would be a good workout as it has quite a bit of third position as well as different bowings. I have been doing the wohlfhart third position etudes for six months but I learn easier playing pieces. with this I intend learning note by note measure by measure recording each part listening to it then altering intonation till its solid

@stringy -
If you are concerned about your intonation, and you don't want to practice with a tuner attached to your violin, you can try playing along with this video while reading the notes.
Ambitious project - you can do it!

Afraid my ambitious thoughts only rise as high as signing up with Mia Marine's Fiddle Academy... possibly this month. (lol)

great that Emily thanks. I used to use a tuner all the time. but now I play the tunes record and listen, then go back and do it again till I am correct. I think I am not to bad on first position intonation now, my ears have improved amazingly since first starting, I found it strange at first when I realised I could hear tones that I couldnt hear before, think I have said before it was quite humbling realising after guitar for thirty hears I couldnt actually tell if a note was sharp or flat, I was told on another forum by a very experienced player that he plays everything sharp on purpose because it sounds correct under the ear but is always actually flat. The night music sheet isnt too difficult to read, or play but getting it in tune is a whole different ball game🦻👂
