Aloha everyone,

I enjoy colonial history and was thinking about the Continental Army and their mindset, knowing that they had cornered General Cornwallis by land and that the French Navy had effectively blocked the British fleet by sea.  Eight long years of fighting was finally going to end with what they hoped would be, and what became, their ultimate victory over the British forces.

I have included parts for 1st and 2nd violin, as well as double bass.  This is a very happy tune and one I really enjoyed writing.  I hope everyone enjoys this tune!

Sweet tune, @iBud!  I really like that piece.

Just printed it myself and am going to start working on it.  Love the historical notes to accompany the piece too.  I can almost imagine a group of soldiers putting together this same tune!

Aloha @kylesito,

To God be the glory.  I have been blessed with musical talent, not only to be able to learn two instruments (although I still have a LONG ways to go on the fiddle), but to be able to write music.  It really pleases me whenever anyone other than myself likes my tunes!  A lot of the time a memory or something else rattling around in my head is what accompanies the tune.  In this case, it was something I remembered from American History class.

Aloha again everyone,

I decided to add a pickup in the bass line and mix the bass with violin 2 so as to have a backing track that can be used with VLC and put on repeat.  I've attached the new sheet music and backing track.  I have used it a few times and have done pretty well, so I may just end up shooting another video, of me playing one of my tunes this time.  Enjoy!

Aloha again everyone,

I added another instrument, namely the military drum.  As this has a military theme, I thought the additional made sense.  With this backing track, you get two measures of the drum, then you start with 1st violin.  I'll include the new sheet music as well, to give y'all a better picture.  Enjoy!
