When June rolls around each year I kick myself, because besides Fiddlerman's Birthday, it's also a big month for Birthdays within my family and circle of friends - BUT, I'm never prepared with anything more than the basic "Happy Birthday" tune!
Thought I'd get everyone to seriously think about learning a new version to play of "Happy Birthday"... maybe a good Party idea for down the road?
Don't think there's too many of us ready to tackle the Paganini Version by Rachel Barton Pine, maybe part of it, but there are many other versions that are feasible!
Each time you learn a new technique, try it out on "Happy Birthday" (Geneviève Salamone)!
Here's a few ideas for changing keys with a little variation on VIOLA (elliotviola)!
...let's at least get started on a new "Happy Birthday" now - for next year!

@Fiddlerman -
Would you consider making a tutorial of your Happy Birthday! Violin Duo - for those of us who need to also see sheet music?
Here's a Fiddlerman video of "Happy Birthday" with Double Stops!
No, this one's not made for me - few years before before my fiddling days. (lol)
Btw, thought I started or added to a thread about "Happy Birthday" variations - anyone remember where?

Did you know there was a "Birthday Party Waltz"?
It was composed by Horace Weston (1825-1890) -
performed by Adé Williams (Music By Black Composers).

For "Happy Birthday" played in the different Styles of Classical Composers, @wtw posted this "Heidrich: Happy Birthday Variations" video in the Happy Birthday Fiddlerman Thread - and it's definitely worth taking a closer look at the phrasing, rhythm and note choices that make them all unique (rashel topaz)!

@Fiddlerman -
Sorry you had such a bummer of a Birthday, but really glad you're better.
Certainly hope the rest of the year is MUCH better for you!
...looks like we can't escape anything anymore, always somethin' - recently learned a Sister-in-law just recovered from Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever (not in Michigan)! 😳

Anyone learning to play one of these Happy Birthday Variations?
...I've taken a stab at a couple, but THE FOURTH of JULY IS CLOSE!
