Hello all,

Meet my new instrument.... P1070760-1.JPGImage Enlarger

It's a Ukelele, just in case anyone was wondering. :)

My sister plays so will be helping me along with it. And it is a great instrument for car trips, camping trips etc, because it's so small and you can sing along and it's not very expensive so I wouldn't be too worried about it getting damaged.

It's much easier on your fingers than guitar so that's a bonus for me. Take it from a person who can play maybe one song on the guitar before her fingers give out. :P

The colour might not be everyone's piece of cake (it took me a while to convince my sister) but I quite like it. And especially because it has a matt finish, rather than shiny. I think it looks kind of vintage...

Anyways, just thought I would share.

Thanks,

Kiara

That looks awesome, Kiara! I do agree with the colour making it look like vintage, I dunno how that works but it does look like vintage. Before the violin, I considered on buying a ukulele. I forgot how the violin changed my mind, but the thing that I like about the ukulele is that it's very small and thus, portable. The violin is small as well, that's probably one of the reason why I liked the violin.

cheers! - ⁰ℨ

It looks really cool Kiara.

Kiara!!!

I love your new friend.  The color is beautiful.  I too, like the shark.  I hope you get to strum and sing along while going down the road.

Are you familiar with that lil gal.. Emi Sunshine.  She plays and sings her lil heart out.

I thought it was pretty cool too @DanielB, the shark shaped bridge was certainly a bonus. :)

@ozmous glad you agree that it looks vintage ;) you could learn Uke still, I bought mine fairly cheaply, I guess it wouldn't be too different over there...

@Uzi thanks, I like it. :D

@coolpinkone I am sure it will get played a lot. I hadn't seen that girl Emi Sunshine, she sure can play and sing! Maybe one day I will share something, no promises though. Nothing wrong with learning now, never too late. I'm sure you'd do fine. :)

Very nice, Kiara! I hope you and your new friend have some fun times together. I can see why you think that color makes it look vintage. I think that shade of blue/green was very popular in the 1950s and 60s, and was often called "aqua." It reminds me of my grandmother's kitchen. :)

When the work's all done and the sun's settin' low,

I pull out my fiddle and I rosin up the bow.
