@ABitRusty -

I can understand if you don't want to change anything.

ScanScore is like Playscore - both optical scanners, capture score with a photo & they play it.

I want to scan & be done, too - but I also want to snap my fingers & have a violin part made into a suitable VIOLA part (transposed down & in Alto Clef)!

If I do it in my PreSonus Notion mobile app, I have to change every note!

So, seems Scanscore is set up to transpose a captured, or imported, score more easily & has more editing capabilities than Playscore - plus, kinda like the split screen when editing in Scanscore, so I can easily refer back to what I originally captured.

I'd like if I can bypass my Notion Mobile App & go directly into DAW... if I want - or just share & practice!

BUT, there are other apps that scan & play music - all getting better & cheaper in price... I should check a few more out (but these brands seem reliable).

AND, pretty soon someone will perfect turning an audio file into standard notation good enough we won't have to notate by hand anymore (my Spock ears perked up - eyebrow, too)... getting lazy in my old age. 🤣

Ooooooh... and what about easily transposing to different MODES...

elcbk thats sorta not an issue.. easy to do.  select all the notes and transpose them.

what im talking about is in the OCR when the initial scanning takes plqce.   if im having to go in and correct a bunch of stuff with individual edits i.have found it easier to just do it all manual from get go.

this new scanning software you posted may work better though.

Are you talking about Playscore, or Notion?

Playscore - yes, I see it's easy to transcribe - but only by little intervals.

If Notion, then I don't know why I'm having so much trouble with the mobile app!

okay... I'm dense. 🥴  ...maybe I'm not using terms correctly.

🤔... in fact, I'm pretty sure (now) that I want to easily change keys, NOT just transpose the exact same intervals to another spot.

I remember that you don't use the Notion Mobile App, so if anyone else DOES use it & happens to have a clue about why I'm having so much trouble - GREAT!  ...but I realize it's really asking too much - really, TOO much.  😔

I see the Notion App for android is definitely different than the iOS version - like, I have NO option to simply adjust all chromatically (and my app says all my features are unlocked).  I also don't know why I'm blocked from being able to use the 'Major' & 'Minor' intervals, but not perfect, dimiished & augmented(?)

Still, if I go into transpose, I have to change an interval for all - then try to find a key signature with the least amount of accidentals!  It's made me pull my hair out.  ...and from comments I've seen on the internet, I'm not the only one.

If I just select a different key signature, it doesn't put the tune in that key - just shows all the accidentals to keep the tune sounding the same.

And... I'm frustrated because if I choose to transpose to a flat key signature - I can end up with sharps, flats & natural accidentals all together!

eh?  yeah i use all 3 versions depending on whats going on.  alot of the screen shot kind of videos ive done have been the android version.   i prefer the desktop for when im notating something out from handwritten stuff from class... or the ios on ipad works really well too.

you have to think about your intervals.. perfect 4th..5th mior 3rd. yadaa yadda. when transposing.  ill see if i can find a video or two on it ad post here.

@ABitRusty -

FABULOUS! 🤗 ...jeez, my memory is really full of holes.

I had watched this video on transposing (liked it), but it still leaves me feeling I need to do everything manually in the app.

But, the only one I found for Notion Mobile is this one - for iOS.   I just can't find it working the same on android.

...I'm not in a huge hurry - definitely appreciate your time.
