Thanks for the nice comments everyone.
Nice mando playing @Raywells - your tune is very pretty. Have fun playing at your Christmas Eve Service.
@coolpinkone - Toni, your snowflake hats are very cute - love that color of red. Your grand kids will love them.

A wonderful presentation so far; must compliment Vicky for making what is often a tiresome tune, come alive...........

Yup, absolutely - it was "unexpected" - that ALWAYS brings something new to an "oh I know what that's gonna be" performance, and a smile-to-the-face when something "unexpected" happens... Said it already, but worth saying again - Good Work both of you, @Raywells and @VickieD - you get 10 outta 10 for that ! Cool ! LOL
And of course, same to all other participants! Good on you all for taking part, it's not as scary as it may seem to do the video thing, well done all ! Enjoyed them all, and if I missed out posting an individual response to anyone's submission, then, I apologize, I'm pretty sure I caught them all - so - a big "Thank You" to everyone who submitted !
Bill
(P.S. Just exactly how many days to the holidays? - anyone out there counting ? )

Did I miss the party?!?!?
So, this isn't me playing violin, but it is a Christmas song I wrote called "Finding Christmas!"
I just finished playing violin for two Christmas parties and I'm barely recovering! LOL
I hope everyone enjoys it! If I can every get my setting right on any recording devices, I'll have more vids of me playing violin as well!
Merry Christmas!

A friend of mine is a pretty good Pianist and a loves Christmas, Lori was gracious enough to let me play along with her on a medley called Christmas Fantasy. Not nearly as polished on my end as I had hopped and the recording is tinny sounding. I need to figure out how to get a more natural recording sound for the piano and violin.
Anyway Merry Christmas all

Master the Frog and you have mastered the bow.

@mark_1 - heyyy - always great to have accompaniment - I sometimes have to "fight against it" ( I get distracted, lose the timing, and so on! LOL ). It's great fun though and you did well !
Thanks for the addition to the party, Well Done and Merry Xmas to you too !

I want to wish you all a merry christmas!
I also would like to share a portuguese christmas tune with you
This is known as "Eu hei-de dar ao menino" or "Natal d'elvas" and is very popular among young choirs. I played this last Sunday on a small performance but the recording quality is very poor (cell phone) :/ You can listen an interpretation of the song in guitar here. Hope you like it!

Looks like a very quiet night on the forum and etc. Hopefully everyone is busy having fun in their own way. I just stopped in briefly, myself.
Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays to all, and as always, I wish you good playing!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year To You too Daniel.
It was a bit quiet.. (not me of course..lol)
I loved the day after Christmas. Everyone I knew had to go back to work, but it is my normal day off.. Yahoo!!! I had a nice quiet day..(well after a trip to the Mall and lunch with daughter).... ..and Yesterday (Sunday the 28th.. I had a LOT of violin time).. so stoked about that.
Still working on O Holy Night and Ashokan Farewell. I guess I have worked on my Holiday tunes for quiet a while now. I will put them back in my binder.. I have to say it is so cool to pull them out each year and play them, each year a bit better.
I have no idea what will be my focus this year... Maybe finally get Angelina Baker under my belt, and finally get shifting with Swan Lake. I do need to have a few new tunes.. a challenge ... so many choices.
I have sheet for Sarah Mac's Angel, I'll get back into that and see how it is sounding.
Anyway.. I better get out Auld Langs and see how it sounds compared to last year... I love to play that one.
Ramblin' on here.
Cheers.

A day late and a dollar short!!
Good news though, I found my battery charger!! I remember now, I had moved it from the one drawer because I was debating throwing the other tuner away and was worried I would throw the charger away!!
Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!

@Fiddlerman Thank you! I'm not sure I deserve any badges until I am brave enough to show myself on video!!

I think (haha who am I?). But I think the audios that people put up for critique should earn a critique badge. Keeping in mind that you get better feedback if people can see.. But putting an audio out for critique is brave and worthy in my opinion. @Fiddlerman and @Schaick
