I think we're waiting for Dan and Pierre to finalize the rules. At least that's how I see the current situation! Pierre's probably been out on the boat this weekend and will catch up Monday with "real stuff".
I just tried to enter my submission to the competition. I was able to successfully upload the video, but when I try to enter the competition, there are no "competition categories" to select, and it wants me to select a competition category. Basically, it will not let me enter as of yet. Orrrrrrr......I missed the boat. I'm not sure which, but that is all I know.
No, Jesse, you didn't miss the boat. I think (as Steve said) we're waiting for the, "Capt." and "First Mate" to "mend" the sail's before the ship can leave port.

I also did not get the confirmation email, however, I was still able to log in, so it didn't seem to matter. After I registered, I waited a while, then just went back to the site and tried to log in. Presto, I'm in. Not sure if that's working for everyone. But just a thought.
I tried wookiemans suggestion - re-registered again - didn't receive an email but waited a while and tried to log in ... no luck. So I will just wait till the kinks get worked out.
Alright, I was able to enter the competition officially. Looks like the deadline, according to the website is now the 12th of July, and is for players with less than one year of experience.

Dan has fixed some issues and we have extended the voting to Saturday. Still a chance for you beginners that have been playing for less than a year to upload a video. 
We need at least two to get this to work.

I've never recorded anything I've done before but for a free bow, I think I'll go ahead and try something. I've spent several hours these last few days trying to learn a song I really like so perhaps I'll do a video of it. It was a huge pain to learn...

What email service are you using? I'm using gmail and I got my confirmation instantly.

I got my confirmation but it went to my spam folder (also using Gmail). I think this might be related to there not being an SPF record for the domain or something.

I use hotmail > seems to work for anything that I have done in past years.

Hi this a good and fun idea I registered today to add my video but I haven't received the activation link I tried with two different emails.

Well, the guys at Rackspace actually did add an SPF record for me. Also, I did fix a couple issues.
If you give me the email addresses that didn't work, I can check the logs to see if they were delivered or rejected, and if rejected, come up with a solution.

yes StoneDog, I think the music selection is your choice. And chiming in with wookieman, mine will not be all that hot, but I wanted to try.
I'll be uploading mine as soon as I can get my camera to cooperate (this has been my week for technical difficulties!)
Has anyone submitted a video. When I click the link, log in with my FM user name and password, this is what I get.

When I click on any of the categorie's, they all come up blank. Is there a new link, am I doing something wrong or are there still no entrie's submitted.

So either it's not ready yet, or we're both doing something wrong.....lol.
