Okelly dokelly as Ned Flanders would say - I promised a RRV solo submission - this is it. I seem to have cured the case of the "yips" I had yesterday - and I'm a lot more pleased with my intonation and bow-control - as usual - recorded directly from EV to laptop - no effects.
I seriously recommend not copying my mistakes. D'oh -

Well, thank you @Fiddlestix and @StoneDog - I'm close to 4 weeks in - after my first attempts at violin about 4 years back, which I stuck to for around 3 months or so - and even then - very much infrequently and "off-and-on", and which I had to ultimately give up, due to other commitments.
So, I feel, I am now just about "back to where I was" when I gave up about 4 years back - basic pos 1 fingering is "just about there" - needs daily practice on scales and stuff (that most surely works for me)... and certainly, to my own ear, my tune 0004 RRV is nowhere perfect by any means, but is "closing in" on reasonable intonation... ( I truly am my own worst critic, believe me on that! )
[ @ Other listeners - if any - ignore the tempo changes - it's due to both
(1) reasons of "interpretation" of the lyrics in my head - I hear the "words in my mind" and "feel the broken heart" and adjust the tempo towards the end, it being a "solo" ( well, I exaggerate but you know - I'm not playing from sheet - I'm playing from the heart - and this is naught but practice ) - and -
(2) my intent to have "clearly sounded notes" at certain points so I can review it clearly to see just how far off key I really was and whether my feeble vibrato and/or gliss attempts ended up on the right note.... yes, exactly...!!!!!!! ]
Heck, I love it ! Even when I mess it up... I look at my 0001 Red Red Rose 3 weeks back - hmmm - yup - I was truly *fighting* with my fingering/intonation - but I wanted to place a "line in the sand" saying - this is where I came from... (I have no shame - I just get a case of the yips from time to time)- as we beginners all do - nothing to worry about !

Hey @Schaick thanks.. back at ya!
Well...I don't have this memorized...and haven't played in a long time... I grabbed my simple sheet and played it a couple times so here I am "partying" with you all.
It is obvious I am playing from sheet..I know that... Just joining in.

@coolpinkone You did good!!
I did't have mine memorized either. I should have though considering how many times I tried to get it recorded!
Violinist start date - May 2013
Fiddler start date - May 2014
FIDDLE- Gift from a dear friend. A 1930-40 german copy, of a french copy of a Stradivarius. BOW - $50 carbon fiber. Strings - Dominants with E Pirastro Gold string.

@Schaick traditionally it takes me hours and 50-70 takes to put anything out there... last night I said to myself.."I am jammin' with friends at a party.." So I just played it 4 -5 times from sheet and I think I got that on the 4 -6th take...(yes..waiting would have produced better sounds for you all).. But it's a party.

@Fiddlerman, thanks. It was fun to play from sheet. I have been practicing the same old songs for 2 months now, that doesn't do well for sheet practice. I swear by the end of this year I will do Swan Lake, (your version, and make the shifts to 3rd)... thanks for the encouragement.
