It's just a "thread" where we pick a song (from this list click here) and we post the song HERE. it can be an Audio or Video. (YouTube works best). SoundCloud works good for audio. Post as many songs from the list as you want.
Feel free to start posting... let's see how long we can keep this going.

Dammit all Toni ( am I allowed to say that ? ) @coolpinkone - I already got one of those darned hats from the FM shop.......... and it made absolutely no difference at all to my playing... I had kinda thought I might just have had some kind of brain transplant in the process of wearing it - but - nope... it didn't work.... LOL
LOL folks - kidding with yah..... PLAY YOUR SUMMER TUNES... go for it...

I seriously recommend not copying my mistakes. D'oh -

Well, someone has to represent the beginning fiddlers and violinists, and I guess I might as well start...
I've been playing for a few months and just started taking lessons in June. My teacher very rightfully put me back at the beginning of Suzuki Book 1; my assignment for next week is pay special attention to posture while playing through #3 (Song of the Wind).
When I saw the Summer Party (FM Sheet Music Party) invitation, I was excited. None of the House of the Rising Sun versions are possible for me right now – even the easiest among them uses fingerings that don't appear until later in Suzuki. But there are a few pieces on the Fiddlerman sheet music page that seemed within reach. I decided upon Go Tell Aunt Rhody.
I posted both the Fiddlerman version of Go Tell Aunt Rhody, as well as the Suzuki version, which is listed below under the title Come Ye Sinners. It is #4 in Suzuki, so I haven't played it with my teacher yet. The Suzuki tune differs somewhat from that in the song used to eulogize the grey goose, but the Suzuki melody exactly follows the old (public domain) version of the hymn Come Ye Sinners, Poor and Needy. On the Fiddlerman version, I didn't exactly follow the suggested bowing but instead bowed it in more of a beginning Suzuki style, alternating down and up bows.
This is the first time I recorded myself playing, and the recording sounds more awful than it does when I hear myself while playing! Early Suzuki emphasizes the A and E strings so I haven't used the lower strings much, and my D string seems to sound especially “buzzy” in the Fiddlerman version. But at least, it does sort of sound like a funeral dirge...
My goal is to post again (not necessarily the same song) towards the end of the Summer FM Sheet Music Party and show improvement. But for now, this is what I sound like:
Go Tell Aunt Rhody (Fiddlerman version)
Played on a Mendini MV200.
Thanks to @coolpinkone for getting this started and including beginners. Laissez les bon temps rouler!
