Ok, we have 7 (!!!) shows scheduled so far, which is awesome, but more would be even awesomer (I don't care if that's not a word, I'm using it!)
Billy and I will both be doing Strings on Sunday shows tomorrow, so if you are curious at all how this whole StreetJelly thing works, pop in on our shows tomorrow!! Mine is at 3:30 PM, and Billy is at 4:00 PM (EST).

@coolpinkone Yay! No worries, I am totally rusty when it comes to actually playing through tunes lately. I checked and the last streetjelly show I did was in May, so most of the tunes I always ran through are now out of my head, haha.

Fiddlers - you are now headlined on the SJ home page for the SJ "Fiddlerman Hour" event.... There are three featured players across the top of the page - I think they cycle randomly every few minutes.....
OK - we have 8 participants - now - last year's "Fiddle Fest" ( late October ) ran for 9 hours..... yes.... 9 hours....
This is unlikely to go on that long - but - let's TRY !!!! Once everyone's had their turn - there's no reason not to carry on - we can decide in the group chat how, or if, we want to continue playing... so if you're still around at the "end" keep your recording kit ready-to-roll !!!!
Let's make it a party to remember !

@RockingLR33 - it is like "playing for friends and family" - heyyy - really it is....
OK - so, I've been around this forum for 3 years, and have done around 100 shows on SJ - and on many of them I have "met up with" people like @Barry ( who introduced us all to SJ in the first place), @coolpinkone, @damfino and @several-others (LOL)... honestly - there is no need to be nervous, or to let the "nerves take over" - we are "family" here- it's well cool.... relax my friend, relax.... you are not going "out there" to prove anything to anyone, other than yourself to the extent that "I can do this"
You'll do great !

I'm guaranteed to screw up at the very least one of my tunes each time I go on (usually more), and when it does, just keep going if you can find your place, or just start it over
One tip, don't read the chat when you're playing, it's more likely to make you forget where you are and flub. At first I kept my computer out of my line of sight when I'd play, then look at the chat between tunes. But after a while I just kept it all in front of me and read everyone's chats while I play, it is good practice for learning to play while distracted (something you need to learn if you want to play in public, something my teacher drills in my head, haha).

Thanks a lot everyone. Most of the time I am my own worst enemy hahahahaha. I decided to demo my the songs I'm gonna play Sunday and I ended up having an absolute blast.
I like the thought of hiding the screen until I get used to it as that seems to be the part that makes me nervous. I'm glad I get to watch other performances as well to before I go on to see what I like and don't like about set ups and gives me a bit of time to tweak how I want my mike and such set up.

Ok, I want to observe tomorrow, at least in part! So when does the event start, I am central daylight time! I also need to know how I find Fiddlerman's Amateur Hour once I go to the site! This will be my first peek! Want to see what it is like! So please give me whatever info you can give! Someone mentioned a chat... is that the chat on this site or is there a chat on the Street Jelly Site?

@damfino TY, I definitely will be using the links! I already set up an acct. I used my favourite Arabian mare for my picture. Her name is Majiid. Total sweetheart! In Fiddlerman.com I use my little 5lb soaking wet Lilac Siamese kitty. She actually is a cat since she is around 8 or so. I may use a younger pic of myself someday, if I can get them on my phone. In one, I am around 23, the other I am 31. I also have a great pic of me at less than 1 year! Also some toddler pics! No one wants to see how creaky and old I am lol! We will leave that for when I get good enough to do a critique video! I am still on open string bowing exercises, so may be a while! My hardest things right now are the double stops! Man, what a terrible thing to toss into a beginners lap! I found instructions from Pierre in the "Advanced" tutorials! Sigh, my old instruction book has no mercy!
