Great overview - thanks @Barry - it will be helpful.

I've a quick question man, you did mention the logitech cam you used - I'm sort of interested - I have a very simple Logitech C160 - with manull focus - and it can be a total PITA !

LOL    I got the impression that you had "remote" capability - I guess from some Logitech software - to pan/tilt/focus - and more specifically and importantly to ZOOM the cam.....   that would be just ideal for my future plans - I've found the Logitech C270 which I think has these capabilities - just wondering if you can confirm which cam you're using....   because if it has these capabilities I may well opt for the same model as an upgrade.  I did notice that it seemed to autofocus at times as well - but I guess that would be capable of being over-ridden ?

Thanks !

I seriously recommend not copying my mistakes. D'oh - guntohead.JPG

@BillyG   it does have those features, as well as motion tracking. you can select what you want during software download. It actually does a great job of taking stills and has a 3-2-1 count down for that feature. If you open the advanced settings you can mess with brightness, contrast ,etc. Not a bad little cam
