I have a beginning violin student who keeps flattening out her wrist and placing it on the neck, because her are gets tired. This is a common problem among beginners from what I have seen. What do other teachers do aid their student in building up left hand and arm strength, so they can keep their wrist straight? Any suggestions that are respectful will be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm not a teacher ( I hope you don't mind my reply ) but the method I used to keep my wrist straight in my early years was those elastic bands meant for sports when I practiced at home. Not too loose nor too tight, the band works like a reminder to maintain the correct position by adding a bit of pressure like if it was someone grabbing the wrist.
