Of course I'll get in on it.

I just have to wait until I mix the Christmas project since I have gigs lined up back to back till Monday then I feel like I owe the Christmas project some devotion.

Another great idea Barry. This should be fun.

Thanks Barry, you're full of great helpful ideas.

Unfortunately, I'm not one of those that can play by ear, so I'll wait for the sheet music, but it sounds terrific, and would be so lively when it's quicker.

Hope someone can get on board with a B part, then a C part ...

Will be great !

OK,

I gave it a shot. Hope a lot more of you do.

Barry, I just noticed I said "Good Little A part" in the video but nothing that I say is ever planned, I meant to say "Great Little A part" I love it.

This is such a cool idea Barry! And I really like the part you added FM! Can't wait to see what other members will come up with

I thinks this a great idea, but I am just learning to play the fiddle, and then I will have to learn to write a B part, Then I will have to figure out how to record myself playing the fiddle and finally, I will have to figure out how to post to Youtube. So look for my part in about 3-5 years.

Glad that you revived it CGBownut because it is a great idea and we need some people to be courageous and post something. We don't need soloist or perfection in any way. Just something to work with. Maybe you can sing the B part if you can't play it yet. A computer mic is fine to record with. No video necessary either.

Careful what you wish for. I am willing to give it a try. Not the singing part, that would just be mean.

I could use some help though. Have yet learned to pick up by ear. So I got just part of the first part. D0 2 3 A 1 2. If someone could give the first part, I will try to come up with something. Also, I know I can not do video, but could audio, what format would the upload have to be in. I tried .wav and it didn't like it.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated . Thanks

I don't want Barry's great idea to die out, so here is a reminder for everyone that Barry started a tune and we want to expand it. Reminder to CGBownut as well who seemed like he was going to do it. What kind of guidance were you looking for. Maybe you can watch Barry's video a few times.

Thanks for the post reminder Pierre. I haven't read this thread before. It's a catchy tune Barry. I'll try to write a little something on the fiddle for it and maybe a little guitar too?

We'll have to start making songs to sell on iTunes ;-)

OK,

I would like to dig this thread up again because we didn't complete the new fiddle tune........ It can be a lot of fun. Give it a shot and post it here. Barry has great ideas.violin-1260

Sounds intriguing! I hadn't seen this thread before; it was all before I joined.

I couldn't play Barry's original video, though. It says it's private.

Oh, sorry, I never checked that.
@ Barry - Do you still have that video and if so can you post it again?

Barry's tune was the first video I saw when I first joined the forum, then it disappeared. I don't ever remember anyone adding to it, it just went by the way for some reason.

We now need the original again like you said, FM.

I had a go ... well, I didn't set up the vidcam for this, as it's just a first take, and anyway, I'm having a bad hair day too :)

So, Barry's first part, then my B part stitched on to the end. I have a C part in my head, too ...

OK, if anyone else has a B part, please put it up .. I can integrated phrases and bars from more than one "version" .. so off we go :)
