I'll send a link to a British woman I found on YouTube. I learnt a Dorian scale from
her and it allows you to just jam along to any blues video you find.
I love it coz if my violin playing isn't happening, I can sit in my study, put on my dark glasses and cap ( not a Fiddlerman yet unfortunately lol) and just let rip with some good ole blues.
Makes a great escape to formal practice and find it helps me try out a few different rhythms too.
I am amazed at how old people of my age are.....

for french canadians:
violonist: plays classical music, learned with a teacher, methods etc.
violoneux: plays folkloric music learned by ear and with other fiddlers, goal: to make people dance hehee
We had a crazy fiddler who could play with pretty much anything, an axe, a ruler, a hockey stick you name it. (check video at about 35 seconds and more lol)
