Well, this isn't really a Jam session, but Charlie Walden has an interactive Fiddler venue, online.  "Big Fiddle Show" was entertaining even though I was a day late for the live Partay!  "Fish Family Hambo"(sp?) at 1:10:35 was pretty nice.

 

GregW - Is "Possum in a 'simmon Tree" anything like "Possum Up a Gum Stump"?

laugh  ha..i dont think so.  never heard the simmon tree so I youtubed.  think theyre different tunes.  what say you?

I'm having a tough time making myself say "simmon" instead of "Persimmon" but yes, they seem to be different tunes.  What's more confusing to me is these (below) are supposed to be the same tune, but I sure couldn't tell (except it says so).  Regardless, I think I like it.

 

 

There's also a "Dog Treed a Possum Up a White Oak Tree" but it sounds pretty much like "Possum up a Gum Stump" (to me).  Am I way off?
