I vote for St Anne's Reel but all three are good choices.

I like Cripple Creek. I'm just having trouble with the shuffle. If I get good enough I'm sure my dad would love to hear me play the old time songs. If I get a second violin I'll put orchestra grade strings on it and fiddle strings on my rosewood violin.

Tough choice... but I think I'd like to learn St. Anne's Reel as well.

I like all of them, I already know a version of Cripple Creek, same key but a little different. Would vote for St. Anne's Reel over Whiskey Before Breakfast.

Me too cheers   seriously though, I learned that tune in my 3rd month so I know its fairly easy to pick up.  Looks like St Annes reel will be aprils choice, but I plan to put up info on the others too

Hee-Hee!  I'll play St Anne's Reel with you guys, but if there is a sheet music for Whskey before breakfast i'd like to look at it also. I've almost picked it up by ear but not sure about some notes (at the middle approximately). I really like it! And of course i hope there will be sheet music for St Anne's Reel =)

Thank You, FiddlerMan! =)

@Barry: I don't worry about the key, i just need to understand the note sequence, and i'll be able to transpose it..

Thanks, guys!

thumbs-up

different key  serenade  mine starts on the open D

I can jot it down on Finale but all you guys who need the sheet music have to do in that case is learn the notes and play it the same exact way though one fifth down.

IOW, start on the D string and use the same fingerings. It's good to learn these pieces by heart so that you can whip out the fiddle without music and entertain your guests at the spur of the moment anyway. exactly
