I'm going the Beijing in June.
Being in China, and with China beginning to produce some very good instruments, what should I bring back? 
My thinking is a 5 string violin.
I would welcome other's thoughts

Sorry Didn't even realize this topic existed or else I would have made a comment earlier.
I'm really not the right person to be asking about instruments however I always thought it would be neat to own a 4 String Chinese Erhu which is their version of a violin.
When you going to China?
