Just want to share a quartet making video I just found. Me and my son watched the whole thing this morning after he woke up and told me: "Mommy I dreamed I was playing violin". After the video he told me he would like to learn to play violin! I have no idea if it's a fleeting thing or if he is serious but it's the first time I see him interested in playing music besides a toy ocarina that gather dust in his toybox. If in a couple weeks he still is serious about this I'll buy him an el cheapo for his arm size.

Here is the extremely beautiful video... with kitties included! (click video section)

Thanks, nice video. Looks so easy when he does it.

Neck to palm his arm is 21'' so it sounds like a 3/4 but he is left handed. So far I found left handed violins but they were all 4/4!

My daughter is left handed, but she plays a regular violin. Since both hands are almost equally occupied, I don't think handedness makes too much difference.

Didi you are absolutly right! It is true that both hands are equally needed, no matter how awesome you are at good finger position, if you can't bow correctly it will sound like crap and vice versa! That simplifies everything, thanks! heartnote

I will check but I think I have a 3/4 violin here which I could finish fixing up.  I'll know for sure by tomorrow.

I've noticed in other video's that many luthier's have kitten's and cat's in their shop's.

I think it may be to keep mice away since mice have a tendency to make nest's using woodlike material's.

Scat meese's..... b-slap
