I  pretty much use my FM cf bow for everything, but a couple of weeks ago after getting my electric violin I bought a 67 gram bow for $3, tried to use it and blamed rosin for creating a problem.  I found out today that it is the rubber on the bow that is the problem.  It has a very unpleasant smell that caused me to have eye and throat issues.  I removed the rubber and will let the bow air out for a couple of weeks and then give it another try.  Had to wash my hands twice to get rid of most of the smell.  Just a heads up.
