BOW -- synthetic hair ok ?

I saw a thread in here, but never got into if they were any good.

 

I found a seller for a decent starter violin. Has the finish I like, possible boxwood pegs, solid top, so not bad.

 

However, he said the bow is synthetic and not to expect much.

IS that the general opinion? A synthetic hair bow is going to be a problem ?

There are a few new options with synthetic hair that are supposedly good. I haven't tried them but I'm sure someone here would know more about it. However, if the owner said not to expect much, I'm sure it will be a bad option such as fiber glass hair.
Most bows can be rehaired and the price of a new bow with Mongolian horse hair is as little as a rehair job. Our Fiddlerman Carbon Fiber bows are loved by many hundreds of players. :-) Extremely affordable for being real Carbon Fiber too.
