@Fiddlerman
Yup, E string (go figure).
The G D A have yellow with a black stripe, the E was all black.
Fiddlershop says "D’Addario Kaplan Amo or Thomastik Vision Strings (Which ever sound better on the specific violin)". Paper work that came with the Master says Fiddlerman Synthetic core.
Any ideas?

Call the shop - this recently after you purchased it, I'm sure they'll send you a replacement.
You might give some more details about where it broke - those who are expert at that kind of thing may be able to make guesses about why from that.
That's definitely not normal. Strings do break, and E strings are probably the most likely, being the thinnest; but not after a week or two. Unless you've been firing arrows from it, or playing it strongly enough to have the E string passing over the G string, either that was a bad string, or something is messed up with the setup. If another one breaks, they may ask you to send the violin back to the shop so they can fix it once and for all. They'll treat you right one way or the other, based on my experience with them.

After more searching, yes they are Amo (GDA), the e threw me for a loop.
Breakage probably was a rookie, it had just settled in (didn't need lot's of fine tuning to get it right finally) and the fine tuner was pretty much extended. So I backed off both the fine tuner and the peg and was using the peg at the time. It broke at the tail piece side.
I'll let them make the call, but since it was probably a rookie mistake I wouldn't mind if they didn't replace it (if they do, I will order a extra or two anyway ).
Tks for the replies and yes I will call. From their reputation, I know we will get this settled.

Ty Pierre. I'll call in the am and get a couple, it IS going to happen again.
Tough, yes. It was just going from f to f# and I guess I got cocky.. boing....
I love my Master, when I get a good tone it sounds wonderful. Can't wait for the user to get it right more then not.. Tks again

I understand that a lot of players have a problem with whistling E strings. I have not really had to struggle with that, even though I am a beginner. I found out from Fiddlerman that my violin came with a Warchal Amber E. Apparently it is a new type of string with a spiral in the bowing area. It seems to work for me so whatever strings I eventually wind up using I will probably stay with that for the E.
