Thanks mouse. I think I had vague memories of jumping through hoops, so I suspected it might be there, but didn't want to jump through hoops just to find out.
The GX viola bow is something I'm likely to end up with if I buy a better viola, depending on what new things they've added.

This page may be instead of the E-Book. I haven't checked it in detail.
The website layout isn't great.
Yeah, click on the picture on the above page and it sends you to this pdf
I screw my cheap carbon viola bow up fairly tight, so I don't want a medium-soft bow, otoh, all their top bows seem to be medium soft. Hmmm. GX is still possible, if I can get a cheap one (they can be over-priced).

Sorry, you may have missed an update or two while posting. I have the bad habit of doing multiple edits after posting. click on the picture on the above page and it sends you to this pdf

Such a weird website.I did find a, supposed, link to a 2024, again, just a form to imput your email address:
I do updates, too. I tend to keep looking after I post and find different or more info, 😂.

Damn, I just manually emailed them and they attached the pdf I found and the 2023 e-book! Oh, you posted THAT page again - not the actual e-book, which may or may not exist.

I've more or less made up my mind to buy a GX viola bow with an alabaster frog.
My supplier has two in stock, both discounted; and, given the instability of the world economy, I daren't wait, but I'd rather see if I've won anything on the premium bonds in a few days' time because I know I'm being very naughty.

Yesterday I played my viola for a while, mostly to tune it up after neglecting it during the heat of the summer.
I noticed that my Coda GX viola bow seemed very, or even too, flexible.
I compared it with the Coda GX violin bow. Yes, the viola bow is much less stiff than the violin bow. I hope that is not a fault!
Or maybe I'm misdiagnosing - getting either to bottom out is about the same, but the screw on the viola bow seems to straighten out the stick with far less effort than the one on the violin bow.
