Hello there guys! First time on this forum however, ive been watching Fiddlerman's videos for quite some time and i was quite impressed with the Cremona Kreisler 1730 copy that he showed off. As im going to Hong Kong for vacation in a month or so, id like to know which model number the violin is listed at. I have checked the GCV website itself for that specific violin but it gives me quite a variety like so

http://www.cremonaviolins.com......asp?sid=10

Id just like to receive some clarification on this matter. Thanks

"Bourree series Kreisler 1730 model V750ES" says the label.

Thanks. By label, you mean the sticker within the violin body itself?

I don't understand what it is you are asking, the number is 1730. If you look at the site you sent it is listed right there. The other numbers are for the Bourree and the Fanfani models.

I'm interested in this violin as well but I, too, find the model numbering to be sort of confusing. The fact that HP stated it was a Bourree 750ES seems at odds with what's listed on GCV's own website. I suppose it could be an oversight in GCVs website.

Sunny, did you end up buying this violin? I notice, from another forum, that you're probably just down the street from me.

Thanks,

Charlton

We are getting 5 at the end of this week or beginning of next. They've been out of stock for a while. Don't get hung up on the label, unfortunately, GCV ships them without labels now allowing for the distributor or retailer to label them as they wish.

The one that the FM demo is a replica, it's under replicated.

For other models, the bigger the number, the higher end and more expensive (supposed to be better quality), and E stands for European wood and A stands for Asian wood.

Sunny, you are lucky to be in HK for a month. The GCV has a store or a factory in Guangzhou, may be you could go check it out there. I was in Guangzhou last month, but didn't get a chance to check it out, otherwise I probably would have picked one.

Contact them before you go.

actually i was at their shop in guangzhou. tried all their violins from the 600A and above. very high quality and given they dont have any sales tax or anything and that you can bargain for the most part, i picked up 800es  1714 Soil copy for what would be 1600 dollars with a case, and pretty decent CF bow, and a set of larsen virtuoso strings.

i didnt go to their factory however (although i could have)
