I'm looking for opinions on if I should get the Fiddlerman Concert or Master violin.  I know alot of you have high praise of the Fiddlerman Concert violin (old Concert Master).  I haven't seen many posts on the Fiddlerman Master violin.

I'm currently on an electric Cecilio CEVN as my first violin.  It’s been rough start.  The tail gut stripped, I just thought the strings where stretching until it popped.  The bridge was way too high, and it gave my finger tips alot of problems.  Thankfully with help on here, I got most of the problems solved.

I'm still very much a beginner, but I've been practicing enough that I want to invest in a proper violin that is setup right.  I'm just wondering if the Fiddlerman Master violin would be too much of a violin for a beginner and is it worth the extra $200.

Get the best one you can afford.  That way you are not fighting with an instrument as you are also trying to learn it.

Opportunity is often missed because it wears suspenders and looks like hard work.

I don't want to influence your decision either way but I must point one thing out.
A better violin is never "too much of a violin for a beginner". Maybe too expensive for a beginner but the better the instrument, the easier it is to play. A better instrument resonates and sounds better, usually needs less bow pressure and allows easier dynamics, often easier to tune..... etc.
Compare it to driving a cheaper car vs a more expensive modern and automatic car. I'm not saying that the Concert is bad or that the Master is way better but that everyone, regardless of their level benefits by having a better instrument.
Having said this, the Concert is a great instrument for a beginner and if you later want to upgrade, we will gladly take it back for an upgrade. You may even decide later to get an even better violin such as the GCV Cremona Replica's. :-)

Thanks Pierre.  I was kinda leaning towards the Master as it sounded a little more darker, but if you say it'll be easier to play then thats all I needed.   I'll be sending an e-mail in a week or 2 about it.

The GCV would be an awesome violin, but its above my budget.

Maybe the GCV will be your future instrument :-)
