You would be best mailing fiddlerman directly, and they will most likely help with your question they are always very happy to help and answer questions.

No one actually on this forum is directly linked to the fiddlerman company, its just a forum for fiddle players like myself, I dont even play a fiddlerman instrument mine is Hungarian.

I am sure fiddlerman will be only too happy to help you.

I do know however that ebony is quite often dyed. Dont know if thats any use to you.
