One of my goals is to own a Fiddlershop violin, soon hopefully. About a week ago I was cruising the website and saw the Holstein Bench Maggini with the decorative purfling and I think I fell in love. It's SO beautiful and sounds awesome as well. Right now I'm saving every penny.

I thought I'd come here and ask everyone and the Fiddlerman himself, which Fiddlerman violin (if you've already bought it, or just wanting it) is your favorite and why?

That one is gorgeous Judy - I fell in love with the premium Bench Maggini 1630. That would be my dream violin....unfortunately Michael G would have to accompany it as it definitely wouldn't sound that good with my playing...so I'll wait a bit til I can do it justice, and of course, save enough to purchase it.

Maybe one day!

The Maggini's are great but be advised that they are slightly bigger.
My favorites tend to be of the Guarneri patterns.
The Cannone, Plowden, Lord Wilton and Kreisler. However, they all differ tremendously even though they are made in the same way. This is the mystery of the violin. It's also what makes them so special.
When the time comes, if you like, just reach out to me and I'll help you select a violin. I can pick my favorite from those that are set up, I can hand select something that appeals to me, and I can have any model set up to test.
We gladly make videos for approval as well.
Best of all you don't have to worry about being satisfied as we offer a 45 day satisfaction guarantee.
