Hi,

I have recently composed several short pieces for violin and piano. They are not long, but they show my unusual compositional style. I think they are technically challenging, but I would be grateful for any performance, as it will help me a lot as a 17 year old composer to begin with. I have other pieces available, so if anyone is interested, here is a link: si=jIcZloa2HU32iLQ-

Have a nice day and good health

Interesting, thanks for sharing. Did you reach out to the local universities or music schools?

I tried 😅 That's why I'm looking for options here.

I agree with Fiddlerman interesting. I know its completely different but it reminds me of Frank Zappas style.

It's quite possible that it reminds you of Frank 🙂 There are many different genres here, including jazz and traditional Czech folklore.

@Petr Kopulety -

Of your 5 short pieces, I enjoyed No. 3 and No. 5 the most.

Thank you for sharing all 5!

I admire your commitment to contemporary composition, but I don't personally know of anyone who actively seeks out contemporary pieces to perform.  I play mostly traditional folk melodies (and only as a hobby), but I enjoy listening to all kinds of music.

I'm not a fan of hearing the piano paired with violin, so it was a challenge for me to listen.  That said, I can imagine some interesting conversations taking place in your pieces (between your violin & piano parts), because of their contrasting features.

I also enjoyed listening to 2 of your your older compositions - (Z)lom, 'Ad honorem Petr Eben' and 'Obětem útoku na Filozofické fakultě Univerzity Karlovy'!

Thank you very much for the lovely comment. Yes, it will be hard to find someone willing to interpret the composition, but I definitely won't give up 😊
was notified that there are people on this forum who are willing to play the pieces, so we'll see if they respond.
