I was watching Fiddlerman video on arm vibrato and got curious when he mentionned that baroque violin music doesn't use it. So I "Youtubed" that and found this video... and fell in love with the sound. I didn't even know there was different shape of violins! I think I will start saving a little to one day buy one of those wonderful violins because the sound is reaching to me a lot more then with the brighter ones we usually play. Or maybe save for gut strings for right now. Baroque style music is also something I really like though I never really payed attention to violin in it before because the harpsichord took all the place on the pieces I have.
