I prefer the Hill style fine tuner. The string sits on the tailpiece bar using this type of tuner resulting in a better sound. With other types of fine tuners the vibrations are transmited through the metal tuner and with the Hill style the string vibrations are transmited through the tailpiece and not from the string to the tuner to the tailpiece.

The Hill style tuner is the best for the E string but most string sets use ball ends.

I just fitted a set of the Glaesel Piccolos.

Easy to fit without removing the tail piece by just doing one string at a time.

As I said earlier, I can tune without fine tuners but I'm just lazy.

I won't use the 'planetary' pegs on the Reggetti as I plan to fit a set of white 'buffalo bone' and gold ones that I have.

Nice bone pegs! Buffalo bone, I'm assuming water buffalo and not bison? Either way pretty right on!

Oh those are so pretty.

Opportunity is often missed because it wears suspenders and looks like hard work.

Hi @Picklefish

Yes mate. Water Buffalo. In Asia they waste 'nothing'.

I wouldn't like to see it happen to one of your bison.
