I just received my Hamilton Gripper Orchestra Stand. This is the Gripper, not the Clutch model.

Hamilton Gripper Orchestra Stand from Fiddlershop

As usual, the customer service was great. I chatted with Clare because I had to make sure my Artino Magnet pencils I bought from Fiddlershop would stick to it. They do.

I needed a stand with a solid back and one that is stable. This is both. There is plenty of room for two pages to sit side by side. The lip is very good and will keep my music from falling off.

I needed it to be sturdy because I leave it up and did not want it to tip over by simply being brushed as walking by. It is very stable.

There is plenty or room for music. it has a solid back to keep sunlight from shining through making it impossible to see the music. There are two south windows to my right as I play. No matter what time of morning or daytime I play, the sun angle will shine through and make my sheet music impossible to read. I have been clipping to a clipboard. That fell off my old stand easily. I have a couple dings in my wood floor. Character. Sometimes I would out a music book behind sheet music to block the light.

I know many know I use a pad for some music. Not all my music is digital, plus, I make notes. After I am done with major notes and marking, I transfer that marked sheet to my pad, so I still need the It is one my son used, so I will be keeping it. I will use it for my viola and violin playing. The music I am using for lessons, is also paper copy.

It is extremely stable. The customer service was terrific and I received it promptly, with tracking.

You can’t beat this store for quality merchandise, great prices and superb knowledgable customer service.

I really recommend this stand. It is a little more than I would have spent on a stand if I had not purchased from Fiddlershop. I trusted it would not be flimsy and would be of great quality because of my other purchases made through Fiddlershop. I was correct.
