These are SO COOL!

I would LOVE to have these tuners on both my 5-string acoustic/electric Violin AND my 5-string Viola!  At least on my C strings!

I have fallen in love with what is considered 'Baroque Tuning' - all strings tuned down a half step, AND 'Cajun Tuning' - all strings tuned down 1 whole step. 

These 'dropped' tunings can sound very dreamy. 

So, how cool would it be to detune a Violin or Viola with the flip of a lever?

Has anyone tried to modify these for at least an electric violin? 

...think they are called 'Extenders' or 'drop tuners' (?)
