I'm in need of a bow rehair and this might be an interesting test, only issue I need a volunteer to donate the hair.😱

Just further proof that white stallion horse hair is over rated.

If this was 40 years ago, I'd volunteer, but at my age there is more hair in my comb than on my head.

Now, here's someone who needs new bow hair and can use her own.

4 hours of play isn't a lot though. My current bow hair is close to 150 hours now, still haven't lost a single hair. Horse hair that is. If the bow breaks a lot of hair within 4 hours my guess would be that's a bad rehair. Would be interesting to see how well human hair keeps up with horse hair in a more realistic way, say the normal duration between a rehair. Another thing that would be interesting to see if whether or not there's a difference between where the person comes from and the hair colour. Like the way the mongolian horse hair is considered to be the top notch.

You might find a donor that has strong enough and long enough hair to use but it won't be easy. It would be even harder to get them to donate that long hair. LOL
We had a customer come in with horse hair from their own horses and Felix didn't like that hair very much. I guess horses are bred for that purpose....
At least the human hair won't have the horse hair issue of urine damaging it.
