I know that Glasser has sold a lot of fiberglass violin bows over the years, and I have not played one, but it would seem that carbon fiber has reached a price point that makes fiberglass moot.  Are there sonic (or other) benefits in the material that are hidden from me?  Does anyone here still play one?

I've got an old glasser. It's brown when they still made them that color. Its far better than cheap brazilwood bows but that's not saying much.

I actually never liked fiberglass bows but they are probably better than cheap brazilwood bows.
