@bunify - I can't compare against the soloist, but I did have (still do have ) a FiddlerMan Concert and eventually also got myself the MJZ 905.  I started a thread here - https://fiddlerman.com/forum/s.....-star-bow/ - where I just sort of discuss my findings, make some comparisons between it and the Concert, and play a couple of fiddle tunes.  I cut the video short (didn't want to bore people) but other points I noted in the first few days of playing were - it has a great projection, it can be VERY loud under the ear (I now use earplugs), I did some basic playing in 3rd and higher and it is as "brilliant" sounding up there as it is lower down.  It is sometimes referred to as having a "dark" tonality - well perhaps - but (and I have forgotten which strings were originally shipped with her) - but - with that specific set-up I felt it was quite bright - then again - these things can be so very subjective....

That probably doesn't help with your original question - but it does try to give my impression of the 905....  so hope that helps in at least some small way...

I seriously recommend not copying my mistakes. D'oh - guntohead.JPG

Thanks for chiming in @BillyG - I had forgotten that you chronicled your journey with your MJZ. I am starting to think about an upgrade also, so I'll go back and read your posts. MJZ905 is one of the models that I am considering.

Are these fiddlerman violins better than the low quality German violin?

For sure. IMAO. We've sold plenty of German violins as well.

Thanks for your reply. I live in Australia and if I convert the price it is $2500 which is quite pricy. Are the notes on 8th position clear as well?
I hope it will be worth it

Strongly disagree with fiddlerman’s comment, based on emails, customer comments, and youtube videos, he’s honest and sincere. His number one goal is for the customer to be happy with any choice they make.

Thanks x Coach 😁

@bunify - I understand exactly why you are hesitant. Distance makes this much tougher.
