Well here I am going in to just over two weeks of owning my violin and still buying accessories for my ready to play violin I've already been told that I would never be able to play this thing with the included shoulder rest so I've went about replacing that with a Kun rest,I noticed right off that it was uncomfortable near my cheek and chin from attempting to hold the violin hands free.
In hopes of relieving this problem I did order a self adhesive chin rest pad for this I guess I should mention this is an over the tail piece chin rest I may be jumping the gun here but if its not going to work then its not going to work I hope its rectified with the new shoulder rest that was not long enough to rest properly on my shoulder.
But if this remains a problem would it be a problem replacing it with a non-over the tail piece chin rest?
From all that I can tell these things come right of and can be replaced in less than five minutes and the only thing I'd have to be sure of is to get a rest that goes on the proper side(right or left) in my case the right hand side.
