Thanks guys.
What with just returning from vacation (and therefore almost no practice) and all the stress and stuff to take care of on our return, I've hardly had a chance to play - typical isn't it!
Anyway, I've given it a good workout over the last couple of days, and I can report that when I first tried it I was like a Lada driver who's just got into a Ferrari and can't quite seem to control it. It didn't help that my old fiddle has quite wide string spacing and the FM has quite narrow spacing (correctly). At least I can easily stop 2 strings with the same finger now - it was a struggle on the old one, even with my sausage fingers. lol
Anyway, I'm getting used to it, and can appreciate the potential it has - dynamic range, strong tone, flexibility. Once I'm fully used to it, I'll make a video.
Thanks to all at Fiddlershop for getting it to me safely.

I will Pierre. Every time I play it I find I'm liking it more and more - it's like getting to know a knew friend.
You'll like this - after several days of scratching my head over why my violin case was so hot and humid inside (despite my room thermometer and hygrometer saying otherwise) I finally realised that the reading was just a sticker on the front and I hadn't taken the slip of paper out of the battery compartment to switch it on. Doh!!!

@Jim Dunleavy That's exactly how I felt when I bought my new violin It inspires me to practice so I can be worthy of the sounds it produces. I still have a long ways to go but man its so much fun playing on a good violin isn't it?
