Yea I'm tempted to buy a violin just so I can pimp it up, but before that i want to get either a white or a old violin. Both for aesthetic reasons only.

Just remember, the more paint and stickers you put on it, the weaker and more choked down the sound will be.

It's ok Dave. Antique violin is still an option although you can expect it to bit a fair bit more costly. I need a job!

I can see how that could be. I bet my son wishes mine were muffled. But I pay the bills, if he does not like it, he knows were the door is!

I know the feeling Dave. I would practice a lot more if I wasn't always disturbing someone in my family. I need a studio !

He was at his mother's for a week, I took over the living room. Hardwood floors, surround sound for my ipod. He is back now and I am still in the living room. Poor little guy!

That's funny Dave, you know if he doesn't like the new arrangement, and wants a say, he could pay rent:)
Someone told me that you could put a cloths pin on the bridge under the e and a string and that would work as a mute. I haven't tried it yet but I can see how it would work as long as the pin didn't get in the way of the bow.
