I found a piccard v-6 model violin for sale, any one know anything about them I have searched to no avail. Other then to know its from Chicago instruments company. I know by the look of it that its a student violin, but is it worth picking up? Is it from china im assuming. At this moment I have a student violin made in mittenwald in 64.

Thank you all, I look forward to learning.

Do you have any pictures? Why is this violin of interest to you? Did you see it somewhere and become interested? Have you tested it?

Just wondering if the student violin you have that was made in Mittenwald was by any chance an "Anton Schroetter" ? Reason I ask is because my very first violin that I started learning on back when I was about 12 years old was made in Mittenwald.. It was basically a German factory made violin. Not considered particularly desirable but I have seen a few videos of people playing them and they do sound nice... a sort of vibrant yet sweet and mellow sound.

About the Picard violin I draw a complete blank. Can't find much about it online either unfortunately. Is there any way you can try it before you buy it and also inspect it for any damages before you invest any money into it ?
