I want to order a chin rest and the place I am ordering is asking me for
"Violin rib height in mm"
I still new enough to not know where to get that measurement...can someone please point me in the right direction.
Thanks

Are you talking about the top piece of wood and the bottom piece....so if I am supposed to give that measurement...would it be the height taken in the side?

The ribs are the vertical part of the sides of the violin that separate the top of the fiddle (with the F holes) from the bottom of the fiddle. Whether they want the measurement of the ribs only or the thickness of the violin (including the top and back) I can't say. You'd have to ask them that. Here are the parts of a fiddle.
