I have recently purchased the Cecilio CEVN-1BL Violin.  What would be the best strings to purchase for this electric violin?

I've heard these are really good.

Thomastik Spirocores (or a specialist variety thereof).

I didn't know you had an electric one Kevin. Do you also play an acoustical one as well?

My favorite strings are Prim. They're expensive but they last long. They have good magnetic response too which makes them suitable for electric playing.

Yes I have an electric and an acoustic. It depends on my mood and the song which one I play.

Not really. Some electric violins need to be grounded and therefore work better with a conducting material on the outside at least. Otherwise, especially with the piezo mics, there is no difference. The NS Design violin needs strings with a different set-up but that is just because of the way that violin is designed for quick and easy string changing but I don't know if it is easier. It's just another way to sell strings I guess.

Thanks FM I wondered about the NS if it had different strings.

The ends are different.
