Everyone see this new 'hybrid' electric violin that
Fiddlershop started offering last August?
...they're SOLD OUT!
There's something terribly ghastly about it...

Noticed Volta makes EV hybrids WITH A BUILT IN LOOPER!
Also, seeing more 7-string violins popping up, but how hard is it to find strings for them?
Anyone ever going to make octave strings for Viola again?
Are people finally starting to wake up to how cool more strings are for EVs?

As per the Octave Strings, D'Addario bought Super Sensitive, who was making those octave viola strings. I had a call in to D'Addario and spoke to them about financing the Octave strings by placing a HUGE order to cover any startup fees in regards to those strings.
They are very interested. Unfortunately, We'll probably be taking a big loss since, as cool as they are, there are not that many people who purchased these strings previously when they were available.

Yes. Very much so. We want to have Octave strings for even 5 stringed instruments. Everything takes more time than expected though.
