I found a listing for a Cremona violin which seems to be in good condition and the price is pretty good (~$50).  Not sure on the model yet.  Seller seems to be getting rid of a lot of things since in some items (like a dog) he mentioned he can't take them because he's moving.

I'm a 6'1 adult.

edit:  He says "SV100 - 1" is written on the F hole.  What's with the 1?

I am 6' 4" and I think a 4/4 is small. I believe a 3/4 will be hard to play.

I took in a 3/4 once that I fixed up and passed on to a kid. Im 6 foot and can tell you its not for a "full" sized adult

A 3/4 is way too small for you.  You can find good 4/4 violins for that same money. Just keep watching or spend a little more and get http://fiddlershop.com/instrum.....n-100.html

Same here boss... I'm only 5'-5" and I play a 4/4 with ease... it may not sound great (yet) but a smaller one just won't be good enough for you. Save your $$ and go big! thumbs-up

I'm only 5'1" and I use a 4/4 violin!

The Cremona violins are good beginning instruments. I used one for quite a while. I had an SV-175 and I paid around $150 for it new. smile

I didn't know they made an SV-100... I thought their lowest model was the SV-150. I would look around a little more. You could probably find a higher model violin for a decent price. I personally wouldn't mess with something lower than the SV-150.

I had an SV-100 for a short time, Sam Ash had it on sale, I sold it a few months later. My wife inherited my SV-150 (boxwood fittings) and its a good sounding/playing violin for the money.
