The new version looks more playable in that 6th part, and either you added the harmony I asked for, or I wasn't blind this time (I favor the second explanation, actually. :) )

One request, would you export it in MusicXML format so I/we can load it into MuseScore?

Also, do you want suggestions/additions to any of it? A quick runthrough of part 1, there seemed to be a couple of spots where there was one long note, and the version I'm used to has two or three. I want to get it imported into Musescore and have just that one part on a page so I can double-check that, but if you made that choice deliberately (as something that would sound better in a group), I won't mess with it.

LOL @charles - yeah me too ( like if the last note was an eighth - then it fits in )

And yeah - as I say - just me being me.... it could be anything - loose-enforcement, "correct when viewed but different when converted to pdf" - who knows LOL

And nah - it is really not important - just that it was "obvious" in the score :)

EDIT: Ohhh - we "overlapped" - this was in response to your post #40 @charles - didn't see your latest  - and yeas - the MusicXML file is always useful  @Fiddlerman ! ( :) )

If it's not too much trouble, can someone post each part separately? I have to zoom in on this one to see it from 'violining distance' :) but then I have to scroll after each line.. you know 'old people problems', even if I'm not that old haha.

@Ferenc Simon Many of us have that problem! I think Fiddlerman will put them out in separate parts, he has always in the past. I don't real a whole score too well either. I like that term "violining distance". My eyes are good for "violining distance" now! (not threading needles, ahem).

Yes I will separate the parts but first I want to decide which key is the most desirable. Some votes would help. :)

Please leave it in D, the beginner-friendly key.

thumbs-up thanks, boss @Fiddlerman !

And - before the actual playback file becomes available - any thoughts about what the tempo would be ?

Playing it and tapping out the beat, I got about 120 bpm, in x/8 time. It could possibly stand to be slightly faster.  It's not a real rapid tune, though.

So you're dropping the 6th part? It might work nicely played down an octave on viola.

Yup, was gonna say, I'm with @charles on that - then noticed the xml file and loaded it - sure - 120 sounds just fine.   Thanks for the XML @Fiddlerman - great idea.

P.S. Any chance of posting an XML for the viola parts please ?    :)

I need a push, a real in your face push. Well I hope this will do it for me. I actually pulled the viola off the wall three times this week... Thanks for getting this project up and running. Can't wait for the tutorials. They are always a big help.

And yes, I still intend to do at least one submission for GOT.

Here is a VERY rough draft of "O Holy Night"....

Let me know what your thoughts are. All suggestions are welcome. No bowings yet and the key can be changed instantly on Finale.

Will there be cello parts?

@Ripton I am with you Bud... We just have to just do it and do it now.

The project sounds lovely .... can't wait.  It is not in the key that I usually play it in, but I am thrilled.

LETS make it a great Project.
