I've been sick and coughing for the last 3 days (thanks to my grandson Colton for "sharing" with me!) and wasn't able to get my video done. I tried a couple and deleted them cause my nerves just got the better of me, and then didn't have the energy to get back to it. Disappointed that I missed the deadline but I can't wait to hear the final mix! Congrats to all of you who submitted parts!

Same here. I missed out too. I was planning to record all the viola parts plus an arpeggiated accompaniment part over the weekend, and ended up being too sick to record anything from Saturday onward. (And I probably wouldn't be able to send anything even if the deadline were extended, because I still can't get through the length of the song without coughing as of today.) But there's always next year! Looking forward to hearing the final result.

I was so excited about the project and was really disappointed that I didn't get it done. I was working on V1 and V5 - I know that he got plenty of melody submissions but I didn't see anyone else say the did V5. I am looking forward to hearing the final mix too!
I'm hoping we won't have to wait till next Christmas - maybe we'll get lucky and have a midyear project.....one can wish anyway!!!! At the very least we have to let @Fiddlerman get through Christmas before we start bugging him for that! LOL

@Fiddlerman I hope we got enough parts and I and excited to see our project. I know the Fiddlershop is boooming busy this time of year!
I saw that you had mentioned I'll be home for Christmas next year... that is awesome. I just Heard The Grinch on the radio and thought that could be so fun too... or is that not a good one for violin?

Hey guys,
I am mixing the parts now and would like everyone to check this list (twice ;)) and make sure that your name is listed with all the parts you submitted if you sent me a part. It's tough to keep track of all the parts plus I accidently overwrote a folder with all the O Holy Night files. 
Also, please let me know if you want any changes to the credit title. Username only, both or just name..... etc.
Lastly, I plan on using just one video regardless of how many parts you played but if you played two instruments, I may use one video of each to balance the windows on the video. If you played many parts, please let me know if you have a favorite video or all the parts. I plan on posting the mix as soon as it's done so if you don't answer me in time, it'll be what it will be.....

I am so happy I asked. You guys were the first to post and that is how I lost it. I had moved a folder with the exact same title onto my desktop and pressed returned when prompted to replace the old folder. Tried to undo immediately but it didn't bring back the folder. Need to be careful. Luckly Ferenc and Gary, you guys have your submissions online so it was easy for me to re-download them.

@Jols - submit the "best" take you have.... time is slipping away... truly - trust Pierre on this - we ALL make mistakes and fluff some notes - but we all do that in different places - once all mixed down - each individual's performance becomes but one small fraction of the overall sound... Please do not hold back on submitting it - as I say - time is running out...

My pleasure entirely @Jols - hey - I joined the FiddlerMan forum in early 2014, probably about 3 or so years after it had started (and before I was aware of it)
As the years go by, and more folks join us, it is really good to see more and more folks take part in these projects, I'm pleased my "encouragement" helped in some small way !

@Fiddlerman Thanks so much for doing all this work! @BillyG I went for quantity, not quality. I think of my tracks as background, fairly imperfect but if I waited for them to be perfect I would never submit anything :).
As for names, you could call me : intrepidgirl (Karen S.) if you are still editing. Otherwise, Karen S. is fine.
I can't wait to hear the final product!
